EC Ma Ndryshe, with its new initiative “One Wish For My Street,” begins collecting requests from residents of Prizren’s neighborhoods

EC Ma Ndryshe has started implementing a new initiative called “One Wish For My Street,” which from now on will be carried out on a regular basis. The aim of this initiative is to gather the real requests, concerns, and needs of communities in their neighborhoods through interactive activities with residents.

At the launch of this initiative, the activity was held with residents of the “Ortakoll” neighborhood in Prizren, including “Ali Hadri,” “Alush Kryeziu,” and “Bekim Berisha-Abeja” streets. Through the neighborhood map and interactive methods, residents had the opportunity to express their comments and wishes regarding daily challenges in their community.

During spontaneous meetings with passersby, students, youth, women, and pensioners participated and identified key issues. Among the most frequently mentioned concerns were the lack of parking spaces, insufficient public lighting, the need for safe bicycle lanes, additional pedestrian crossings, waste management issues, and the presence of stray dogs. One specific request also related to the need to replace asbestos water supply pipes with plastic ones.

All collected concerns and requests will be forwarded to the relevant institutions with the aim of addressing them and improving the quality of life in the “Ortakoll” neighborhood.

This initiative aims to strengthen the connection between citizens and the community by giving voice to residents’ requests and contributing to the development of a more inclusive city.

This activity was carried out within the framework of the project “Public Spaces 4 All,” implemented by EC Ma Ndryshe, with support from German Government and State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), through GIZ Kosovo.
