Training on Advocacy for inclusive environmental policies and green transition held in Prizren

A two-day training titled “Advocacy for Inclusive Environmental Policies and Green Transition” was held in Prizren within the framework of the project “Green Horizons – A Youth- and Community-Led Green Transition Initiative in Western Kosovo.”
The training brought together young people, representatives of civil society organizations, activists, teachers, and high school students, with the aim of strengthening their knowledge and skills in environmental policy advocacy and encouraging their active participation in green transition processes.
During the two-day activity, participants were introduced to key concepts related to the green transition, climate change, energy efficiency, the circular economy, and relevant environmental policies of the European Union and Kosovo. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and practical group work, they analyzed the environmental challenges faced by their communities and explored concrete opportunities to address them through advocacy and collaboration with local institutions.
As part of the training, participants developed action plans for future initiatives in their communities, focusing on the promotion of inclusive and sustainable environmental policies. They also worked on identifying relevant stakeholders, formulating advocacy messages, developing concrete policy demands, and simulating dialogue processes with decision-makers.
The training aims to contribute to the creation of a network of young people and local stakeholders committed to promoting sustainable environmental solutions and playing an active role in green transition processes in Western Kosovo.
This activity is carried out within the framework of the project “Green Horizons – Youth and Community Green Transition Initiative in Western Kosovo,” implemented by EC Ma Ndryshe in partnership with Care International Balkans and supported by the European Union, with Syri i Vizionit as a co-implementing partner.
