Students from the schools of Prizren are introduced to the values of traditional crafts

As part of efforts to preserve and promote the traditional crafts of Prizren, EC Ma Ndryshe has organized a series of discussions in the schools of the Municipality of Prizren.

Students from elementary schools "26 Marsi", "Fatmir Berisha", "Fadil Hisari", and "Gani Saramati" had the opportunity to learn about the values of the crafts that are still active in this municipality.

Through short documentaries, students heard authentic stories from local craftsmen, who shared their experiences, passion for inherited professions, and the challenges they face today. These sincere stories were followed by open discussions where students expressed their thoughts and ideas on the topic, while also emphasizing the importance of these crafts for society and cultural heritage.

The activity sparked lively discussions about the value of preserving crafts, the challenges of modernization, and the possibilities of adapting them to the current market. In fact, students showed interest in learning more about these professions and the opportunities they offer for the future.

This activity aims to inform and stimulate students' curiosity about the old crafts that were once the backbone of the economy and culture of the city, and remain an inseparable part of Prizren's cultural heritage and identity.

The activity was implemented as part of the project "Promotion of Cultural and Spiritual Heritage for Sustainable Development in Prizren," supported by the Directorate for Culture, Youth, and Sports of the Municipality of Prizren.
