Workshop “Climate Change in Kosovo” Continues with Insights from Scientific, Academic, and International Perspectives

The environmental workshop on “Climate Change in Kosovo,” organized by EC Ma Ndryshe, continued into its second day with in-depth discussions focused on the scientific, academic, and international dimensions of climate change.

The first session of the second day, titled “Climate Models and Weather Changes in Kosovo,” presented historical data on temperatures, precipitation, and extreme weather events, as well as explained climate models that project future scenarios. The discussion centered on the expected impacts on natural resources and the economy, as well as the importance of regular monitoring and data utilization for shaping environmental policies and informing communities.

The second session, “The Role of Academia in Addressing Climate Change,” highlighted the importance of scientific and academic research in developing mitigation and adaptation strategies. Participants were introduced to studies in the fields of renewable energy, biodiversity, and sustainable urban planning, emphasizing the potential of academia to influence policymaking and promote cross-sectoral collaboration.
