The common practice of carrying out unauthorized works by the cultural heritage authorities in the Historical Center of Prizren continues.

According to confirmation from the QRTK Prizren, works on the terrace of a hotel building are being carried out without the approval of this institution, which constitutes a violation of the rules for the protection of the historical area.

According to the current legislation, the Historical Center of Prizren, as a cultural heritage property under protection, is included in the list of cultural heritage, under the permanent protection of the Republic of Kosovo, and any intervention in this area must be carried out with the approval of the cultural heritage institutions, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Unauthorized works could impact the integrity of this area, and for this reason, the responsible institutions must take the necessary actions to ensure the law is respected.
