Training on making "dollamas" in Prizren, from tradition to new opportunities

The training of women and girls in the crafting of traditional folk garments known as “dollama” is continuing in Prizren.

The purpose of the training is to equip participants with the skills to hand-sew “dollama” and thus increase their opportunities for self-employment in the future.

This several months-long training allows participants to learn this traditional craft from experienced professionals in the field and is part of the project “Cultural Heritage for All: Preservation, Education, Development, and Innovation”, which is a continuation of EC Ma Ndryshe’s efforts to protect and promote cultural heritage.

In this context, efforts also continue to preserve the craft of making “dollama” through promotion and the transfer of knowledge.

The EC Ma Ndryshe project “Cultural Heritage for All: Preservation, Education, Development, and Innovation” is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports
