On Friday, EC Ma Ndryshe launched the first session of the environmental workshop titled “Climate Change in Kosovo.”

This workshop aims to offer a comprehensive approach for participants to understand the impact of climate change in Kosovo from multiple perspectives, including the legal framework, scientific analyses, academic research, and the firsthand experiences of affected communities.

Participants in this workshop come from central and local institutions, non-governmental organizations, the media, and universities.

During the first session, themed “Policies and Legal Framework on Climate Change in Kosovo,” discussions focused on the legal framework related to climate change, sectoral strategies, regulatory mechanisms, and Kosovo’s international commitments. Through these discussions, participants analyzed how state institutions implement climate policies, the challenges they face, and the opportunities for further improvement in this field.
