Tree Nameplates and Insect Hotels Placed on the University of Prizren Campus

On Wednesday, EC Ma Ndryshe placed nameplates for 21 types of trees on the campus of the University of Prizren, as well as two insect hotels, which provide shelter for beneficial insects and help maintain ecosystem balance.
Insect hotels play an important role in improving soil quality, increasing pollination, enhancing biodiversity, and naturally reducing harmful insects.
Meanwhile, the tree nameplates help the public learn about the various tree species in the area, while also serving to raise awareness about biodiversity and the importance of environmental preservation.
The idea for this joint activity with “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren was developed from regular meetings with professors and students of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, aiming to promote awareness about the importance of environmental and biodiversity protection.
This activity was carried out as part of the project "Empowering Environmental Civil Society Organizations in Kosovo" (EECSOK), supported by the Swedish Embassy in Pristina and implemented by the Community Development Fund – CDF.
