Students of “Remzi Ademaj” Gymnasium in Prizren transform school space through a green initiative

As part of the activity “Youth-Led Local Actions – Community Activism for Environmental Protection,” students of “Remzi Ademaj” Gymnasium in Prizren have undertaken a concrete initiative to improve their school environment, demonstrating that change begins with small local actions.
This intervention is the result of their engagement in the School of Activism, where, following a series of info sessions, young participants proposed ideas for green interventions in their community.
One of these ideas was brought to life through the revitalization of a green corner within the school premises, which has now been transformed into a more attractive, educational, and inspiring environment for all students.
Through joint efforts, the students contributed to organizing and beautifying this space by adding green elements and creating an area that reflects the importance of nature in everyday life. This transformation not only enhances the school’s aesthetics but also serves as a strong example of civic engagement and environmental responsibility.
A special dimension of the activity was the creative expression of environmental messages through paintings and drawings made by the students themselves. These artworks convey messages about environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and the importance of caring for nature, turning the school space also into a platform for awareness-raising.
This activity is carried out within the framework of the project “Green Horizons – Youth and Community Green Transition Initiative in Western Kosovo,” implemented by EC Ma Ndryshe in partnership with Care International Balkans and supported by the European Union, with Syri i Vizionit as a co-implementing partner.
